What is Classical Education?
Here at Oak Grove, our youngest learners in our grammar school joyfully memorize and recite bible verses, grammar jingles, spelling rules and history songs. A hands-on approach keeps them actively engaged with learning.
The natural inclination of 7th and 8th grade students is to question, analyze, and even argue. Through direct instruction of formal and informal logic, Oak Grove Logic School students meet the challenge of analyzing information and are able to reason clearly.
The high school, or rhetoric, students at Oak Grove ponder life’s most important questions, and are able to respond and articulate their position from a biblical point of view. They are equipped with classes in Logic, Rhetoric, and Debate to give them the tools to think clearly and communicate what they know to be true. Apologetics, a course in defending the faith, equips our graduates to give an answer for what they believe in any college environment.
