Mrs. Deborah Glasgow
M.S. Reading, The Johns Hopkins University, B.S. Early Childhood Education, Towson State University. Oak Grove is well served by Mrs. Glasgow’s more than thirty years of experience in many levels of education. Mrs. Glasgow has held teaching positions at prominent institutions, such as The McDonogh School, Jemicy School and Towson University. Mrs. Glasgow has a heart for the success of each student in her care.
Dr. Jacqueline Hutcheson
Ph.D. Applied Developmental Psychology, University of Maryland Baltimore County, B.A. Psychology, Biola University. Dr. Hutcheson brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to Oak Grove. This is the second school she has had the privilege of helping to establish. She has also taught numerous classes across the grade levels, as well as at several colleges. Dr. Hutcheson passionately believes in grace-based, Christ-centered education.

Mr. Brendan Beale
B.A. Christian Thought, Grove City College, Pennsylvania. Mr. Beale has ministered to young people for many years in church, camp and school settings. A founding teacher at Oak Grove, he has a strong background in classical languages and has taught across many subject areas, primarily in the areas of Bible and Latin. Mr. Beale is an ordained minister at his church, where he serves as minister of children, youth, and singles. As our school chaplain he teaches the deep truths of the Bible in an engaging and inspirational way.

Mrs. Sarah Cruikshank
B.S. in Physical Education from Houghton College, New York. Mrs. Cruikshank inspires our students with her love of athletics. Her experience playing basketball and being on the track and field teams in high school and college helped to well equip her for coaching both sports. Mrs. Cruikshank has coached soccer, basketball, track and field as well as being Oak Grove's first boy's basketball coach. Her love for the Gospel had her spend two months in Kenya on a missions trip.
Mrs. Charlane Huffman
Early Childhood Education Certification. Mrs. Huffman has taught at Oak Grove Classical Christian School for several years. Her deep love for God and children, combined with her gift of teaching has equipped her to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for her students.
Mrs. Melissa Wunder
M.A. Early Childhood Education, Towson, University, Towson, MD. B.S. Early Childhood Education, Taccoa Falls College, Taccoa Falls, GA. Mrs. Wunder has many years experience teaching young children. Teaching Kindergarten in Harford County, and preschool Sunday school classes has equipped her to teach our pre-school. Creating a lively, theme-based atmosphere in her classroom blesses the children in Mrs. Wunder's class.
Mrs. Melanie Ward
B.S. Elementary Education, Towson University, Towson, MD. Mrs. Ward has taught in both public and private schools and has also home schooled her children. In addition to her teaching experience, Mrs. Ward managed her own daycare and has ministered to middle and high school students at church and youth camps. She brings over 15 years of experience working with children preschool age through high school. Mrs. Ward lovingly provides a Christ-centered educational experience and helps every child develop a strong phonics foundation.
Mrs. Rebecca Tahan
M.A. Education, Goucher University, Towson, MD. B.A. Elementary Education, Eastern University. While earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, Mrs. Tahan was honored as a Presidential Scholar. She has teaching experience in both the public and private sectors, in grades Kindergarten through Third, and high school Spanish. Mrs. Tahan is particularly gifted in implementing a strong phonics program in First Grade.
Mrs. Cheryl Hansen
B.A. Early Childhood Education, Towson State University. Mrs. Hansen has taught Second Grade for over twenty years and has a particular strength in the area of phonics. She has taught in a number of educational ministries at her church as well as home school co-op classes. Mrs. Hansen also enjoys actively serving in children's ministries in Baltimore City.
Mrs. Nikki Phillips
M.A. Degree in Elementary Education both from Eastern Washington University. B.A. Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. While living in Washington, Mrs. Phillips taught grades two, three and four with most of her experience being in third grade. She has received speciallized training in teaching phonics, and is thrilled to teach in our classical Christian school.
Mrs. Terry Kittle
B.A. Towson University. In addition to her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Kittle has completed postgraduate courses in Greek, French, Spanish, and Special Education. She has also received Orton-Gillingham training in Phonics. Mrs. Kittle brings 30 years of formal classroom experience and a number of years teaching Sunday school. In addition to teaching at a classical Christian school since 1997, she has taught Latin in the summer, Upper School French, and developed a specialized Latin program for Grammar School students.
Mrs. Jane Brooks
M.S. Equivalency credits from Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University. B.S. Special Education, Bloomsburg State College. Mrs. Brooks has had more than ten years of teaching experience in Classical Education and has home-schooled her three children. She has received special training in Orton Gillingham phonics and Singapore Math, and particularly enjoys teaching Math and Science.

Mrs. Jean Withers
B.A. Early Childhood Education, Towson University. Mrs. Withers has a varied background in education and athletics. She has many years of teaching experience, primarily in classical schools. Teaching preschool, kindergarten and assisting in kindergarten and first grade has enhanced her gift for teaching. Previously, Mrs. Withers enjoyed coaching volleyball and lacrosse and currently teaches all levels of PE.

Mrs. Katie Burke
M.A. School Administration, Concordia University. B.S. Elementary Education, Goucher College. Mrs. Burke teaches several courses for grades 6 through 11, and and also serves as our school's Athletics Director. She is equally gifted in teaching humanities and in the area of math and science. Mrs. Burke loves sports, is double certified in volleyball, and has done a splendid job of nurturing and coaching our growing volleyball program.

Mrs. Robyn Goodman
M.A. Biology Sciences, Johns Hopkins University/Carnegie Institution, B.A. Biology, St. Mary's College of Maryland. Mrs. Goodman has worked as a laboratory technician, graduate teacher assistant, a research specialist, and has served Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Harford Community College. Mrs. Goodman has also published articles in Cellular Biology and has home schooled her children. In addition to teaching anatomy and physiology to our seniors and humanities to grade 7, Mrs. Goodman will also be instructing our K-5th grade students in art.

Mrs. Rachel Thompson
B.A. English and Dance, Mercyhurst University, PA. Having been classically educated herself, Mrs. Thompson is thankful to teach at a school that uses the classical model. Her degree in English Literature and Language has prepared her well to teach humanities courses. Likewise, Mrs. Thompson's degree in Dance has prepared her to direct the school's Classical Ballet Academy for students in grades 6-12. In addition to her degrees in English and Dance, Mrs. Thompson's strong background in the arts has equipped her to teach Art to students in grades 6-12.

Mrs. Erin Cox
M.A. Teaching, University of Portland, B.A. French, University of Notre Dame. Madame Cox's teaching experiences include teaching French I, II, and III at Faith Christian School, a classical Christian School in Roanoke, VA, and French for 7th and 8th grade at North Cross School (also in Roanoke) and St. Johns Country Day School in Orange Park, FL. Mrs. Cox has designed French curriculum for several grades and is teaching our students via distance learning from Greensboro, N.C.
Mrs. Elspeth Shepherd
B.A., French and Christian Thought, Grove City College, PA. Mrs. Shepherd taught at Caldwell Academy, a classical Christian school in Greensboro, N.C. for the eight years. Madame Shepherd is currently attending graduate school in Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. She is pursuing a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies. Madame Shepherd is fluent in French, a combined result of her degree and several immersion trips to France.
Miss Brianna Meeker
B.S. Elementary Education, Liberty University. Miss Meeker's love for science at first led her to consider a career in nursing, but her love for working with children led her to pursue teaching. Certified through the state of Virginia snd the Association of Christian Schools international, Miss Meeker comes well qualified to teach our fifth grade. Her background includes being an Awana leader, tutoring, serving as a nanny, as well as classroom experiences in Kindergarten, first, third, fourth, fifth, and eighth grades.

Mrs. Debbie Shultz
B.S. Towson University. Mrs. Shultz has shared her love of music through serving in church ministries and teaching in classical education. Directing choral and drama programs, teaching Sunday Schjool and VBS, and homeschooling her daughters have well prepared Mrs. Shultz to teach our Grammar School music classes and direct our Grammar School choir. Mrs. Shultz has also served as the Children's Ministries Director of her church.

Mrs. Marni Hansel
M.Ed., Wilmington Unicersity, B.S. University of Delaware. Teaching several grades and subjects, tutoring students with learining challenges, homeschooling her five children, and directing drama productions are all parts of Mrs. Hansel's varied background. Mrs. Hansel is particularly talented in helping students develop study and organizational skills, and will be helping our Upper School students prepare to enter college.

Mrs. Miranda Schneider
B.S. Mathematics, Liberty University. Mrs. Schneider has the distinction of being the first graduate of OGCCS to return to her alma mater as a teacher. In addition to her degree in mathematics, Mrs Schnieder also has an impressive background in science with a particular interest in Creation Science. As a daughter of missionaries, Mrs Schneider has the unique background of living in several areas of the world.
